The Good: Use it for work, use it for the gym. Just use it!
The Review: Harness leather handles, brass rivets, and waxed canvas. Old world workmanship in a contemporary tote. Beware, if you come in to see it, you will buy it! The Jack Spade Shell Case measures 14x12x6 inches, and is put together with such nice heavy 18 oz canvas that even thought there are no dividers or any other type of structure to the bag, it still stands upright on its own. The interior is simple and classic. On one side of the interior, there is a small zippered pocket where you can keep wallet (or passport if you’re traveling with the bag) and the other has two leather snaps that keep a file divider tight to the side of the bag and in front of this are a few small pockets where you can slip in a phone, business cards, pens etc. The zipper is brass and smartly matches the rivets of the handle. The outside of the bag has two small open pockets at either end where you could drop in a bottle (although it looks custom made for a flask!), and the front has a simple zippered pocket that nicely covered and doesn’t take away from the look of the bag. If you have ever been a fan or raw denim, which slowly wears in and develops character, this bag should appeal. It quite literally could be a business case, travel tote or gym bag. It might not be here long, as the more I type and look, the more I’m finding myself thinking about how useful it would be!
